Homemade Ice Cream (in a Bag!!)

Let's face it, everyone loves ice cream; it's a summer staple! Not to mention it is an excellent boredom buster for your little ones. Here is a super simple, insanely fun homemade ice cream recipe that involves your kiddos in making their own summer-treats! 

 Ingredients: 
(Makes 1 Serving)

 1/2 cup half and half
1 Tbs. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 sandwich size Ziploc bag
1 gallon size Ziploc bag
3 cups crushed ice
1/3 cup rock salt

 Directions: 
  1. Place first 3 ingredients in the sandwich sized Ziplock bag and seal (be sure it is tightly sealed!). Next, put ice and rock salt in the gallon sized Ziploc bag and place the filled small bag inside. Seal the larger bag.
  2. Have your kid's shake up the bag until ice cream is thickened, approximately 10-15 minutes. You may need to put on some fun tunes to get them to dance around and shake like crazy! 
  3. Remove the smaller bag, unseal and enjoy with a spoon!
